This prototype was for an assignment from a class I took at the start of 2025, Gameplay Programming 2.
This was one of our first major projects after we had learned Unity's animation techniques so the animation you see in the prototype is pretty rough but it's mostly meant to serve as a proof of concept based on work the professor outlined in class leading up to this assignment.
In this prototype you see a couple assets that I reused in a later project, particularly the character model which I found on mixamo and the player icon which I drew based on the model.Â
Overall I'm honestly not that proud of this assignment as it was just a rough situation of having a certain amount of assets and code we were told to use and trying to find a way to make them not look janky in a short period of time, which I believe was meant to be representative of the rough prototyping process. Regardless, the level of polish isn't exactly to my satisfaction.
